Director KOXI

KOXI is a Luxembourgish-German director and writer whose films have a rare talent for making your skin crawl, your blood boil and your mouth laugh out loud. A lover of all things human, she draws career-best performances out of established actresses and crews alike.

Known for being meticulous and gentle, and with a background in music composition and photography, she works intimately with every department, guiding them with a singular love for aesthetics and cinema toward works that aren't afraid of their own stakes.

Her debut Liebhaberinnen (Women as Lovers) has been showcased in Berlinale 2026 and has been lauded by the public and critics alike, called a heterosexual nightmare, drawing reviews that range from hilarious to tragic with a focus on the acting performances and the theme of solidarity (and lack thereof) between women.
