Paula Romy

Paula’s artistic sensibility has been shaped by her upbringing in two major European cities: combining the edgy free spirit of Berlin with the London work ethic. She always strives for a high-end result in whatever she creates. As a dancer in her previous career, the movement continues to be an important part in her filmmaking. She loves to work closely with performers and choreographers, and her own experience in front of the camera has given her valuable sensitivity when directing actors. When she first joined the industry, Paula worked as a 1st AD on big commercial and film sets, which made her become a practical and goal-oriented director; someone clients can rely on. Overall Paula’s work presents high concepts, beauty, cinematic camera work, strong performances, and a touch of surrealism. A weird childhood dream of hers is to one day make a milk commercial.
